SHOW HOST/PRODUCER/REPORTER
We're looking for someone who can do it all! This is a great opportunity at one of the premiere radio groups in the country…Citadel Broadcasting of Knoxville's The Sports Animal! Knoxville's only 24/7 sports station is looking for a multi-talented individual who can interact with a co-host as well as guests & callers and be able to conduct interviews in an aggressive but not-intrusive manner. Knowledge of college and pro sports is a must and knowledge of college football recruiting is a plus! Must be able to schedule producers and board ops for numerous sporting events and work flexible hours. The Sports Animal is the flagship station for UT sports including football, men's and women's basketball and baseball. Box 11167, Knoxville, TN 37939 Scope Executes and produces the format on the air through performing and interacting with audience and clients in studio and/or remote broadcasts to ensure station’s ratings success. Assists programming staff in developing current and entertaining content for the on-air program and produces quality creative sports broadcasts and information spots. Provide interesting statistical and background information about players, teams and sporting events. General Responsibilities • Entertains and informs listener audience • Evaluates content of show, monitors listener feedback and recommends appropriate repositioning • Conducts on-air interviews of sports figures and celebrities • May act as Master of Ceremonies for public and/or private events • Assists in special promotions and programming activities • Creates and provides questions and trivia elements for regular contests • Creates and produces current and topical sweepers and custom jingles • Initiates, develops and executes off-site stunts to add external presence • Locates, edits and rewrites topical material for on-air discussion • Secures Hollywood, music and sports stars for on-air interviews • Extensive knowledge of sport, team and player statistics, facts and history • Computer literacy in applicable programs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels • Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines • Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting and other related production equipment Education and Licensing Requirements High School diploma Must possess valid state drivers license CITADEL BROADCASTING IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | |
